Mosley to face FIA vote of confidence in JuneThe Extraordinary General Assembly of the FIA requested by President Max Mosley will take place on June 3. At it, Mosley, who asked for the meeting following the publication of allegations concerning his private life in the British press, will face a vote of confidence. “The FIA can confirm that the members of the Senate have unanimously approved the proposal of the President of the FIA, that further to the recent press coverage relating to his private life, an Extraordinary General Assembly should be convened,” said an FIA statement released on Wednesday. “The meeting will be held on June 3, 2008, in Paris. The General Assembly will include a vote of confidence by secret ballot.” The full membership of the FIA - 222 national motoring organisations from 130 countries - has been invited to attend the meeting. In the meantime, Mosley is continuing with legal action against the publication in question. Any damages he might win will be donated to the FIA Foundation. 9.4.2008 ▪ Formula One ▪ www.formula1.com Mosley to face FIA vote of confidence in JuneThe Extraordinary General Assembly of the FIA requested by President Max Mosley will take place on June 3.
