Mosley: A firm denial from the F1 paddock

With all eyes on the News of the World on Sunday to see if there would be any further revelations regarding Max Mosley, F1 continued to hold its breath, anticipating the next phase of a saga that looks likely to overshadow F1 for the next couple of months.

While many former F1 drivers have spoken out on the matter, the current inhabitants of `Planet Paddock` are wary of sharing their opinions, at least in public.

However, one thing on which the paddock does agree, is that there is to be no celebration of Max Mosley`s 68th birthday, which took place yesterday (Sunday).

Asked by Pitpass whether the event would be marked in some way, an F1 insider categorically assured us; "no, we will not be having a whip round".
